Know the school before you choose it.
The School Chronicles is an independent publication about schools in India. We report on fees, admissions, board results and school life, and keep detailed profiles of schools so that parents can compare them on the same terms, with the facts in one place and the sources a click away.
Choosing a school is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and the information needed to make it is scattered across school websites, board directories, PDF notices and word of mouth. We bring it together, check it against the original documents, and present it plainly.
What you will find here
- School profiles: fees stage by stage, admission dates and process, classes and board, principal, facilities, board results over the years, toppers, alumni, photos and location, in one consistent format for every school.
- Board results: pass percentages announced by CBSE, CISCE and state boards, and toppers announced by boards and states, each linked to its source.
- News and explainers: admission schedules, fee rules, results and the policy changes that affect families, explained without jargon.
- Search and compare: find schools by city, area, stage, board, type and budget, and put up to three side by side.
- Answers to common questions: every profile ends with FAQs built from that school’s own details.
We cover schools across Delhi NCR, including Delhi, Gurugram and Noida.
How a school profile is built
- Identity: the school’s affiliation number, address and level are matched with the board’s own directory, such as CBSE’s affiliation records.
- Fees and admissions: taken from the school’s published fee structure and admission notice, with the session and the date we checked them.
- Results: taken from the school’s mandatory public disclosure or its results announcement.
- Everything else: facilities, principal and contact details come from the school’s website or disclosure. Photos are used only with permission or under an open licence, with credit.
- Gaps stay visible: if a detail is not published, we say so instead of guessing.
Our principles
- Independent. The School Chronicles is not owned by, affiliated with or paid by any school, school group or education board.
- No rankings. We do not rank schools, and schools are listed alphabetically. A good school for one child is not the same as for another.
- Sourced. Every figure comes from a primary document, and we link to it.
- Dated. Profiles show when fees and admission details were last checked.
- Correctable. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so.
How The School Chronicles is funded
The site is free to read and is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no say over what we publish. Schools cannot pay to appear, to change their information or to move up a list. Any sponsored content is clearly labelled.
For schools
If your school’s details have changed, or your school is not listed yet, send us the update from an official school email address with a link to the source, such as your fee structure, admission notice or mandatory public disclosure. There is no charge.
